The Bernard Jacobson Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of prints spanning the career of British artist Howard Hodgkin. The exhibition brings together a selection of expressive, abstract prints made between 1966 and 2003. At the start of his career in the 1950s, Hodgkin focused primarily on painting, creating works characterised by their semi-abstract bold forms. Hodgkin experimented with printmaking on a few occasions during the 1950s and 1960s, but not until the 1970s did he fully explore the printmaking medium.
