1. What personal data we collect 

The personal data we collect includes:

 

  • Your contact information such as your name, email address, telephone number and address

  • Information related to your interest in, and attendance of London Gallery Weekend and our events

  • Information you give to us in person at London Gallery Weekend or our events

  • Information you give to one of our of our events at one of our venues

  • Only if required, your payment details and financial data i.e. your bank name, account number and sort code, if we need to make a payment to you

The personal data we collect directly from you is:

 

  • Information you give to us via our website, applications, and other digital channels by signing up, filling out forms, commenting, or otherwise engaging with our services

  • Information you give to us when you subscribe to emails and/or newsletters

  • Information you give to us when you partake in one of our initiatives

  • Information you give to us when you book into an event via us or a third party online

  • Information you give to us when you attend London Gallery Weekend or one of our events (e.g. ticket scanning);

Information we collect from other sources:

 

We work closely with third parties (technical service providers, ticketing providers, advertising networks) and may receive information about you from them. Depending on the relationship and activity, they will provide us with certain information. In some cases, third parties also provide us with information that help us keep track of bookings, address technical or logistical issues, prevent fraud, or keep our community safe from security threats. 

 

Some of our key partners, who we receive data from and may share some data with include:

 

  • Event Partners and Sponsors, including Galleries that participate in London Gallery Weekend who we work with to host or co-host our events

  • Media and Digital Content partners, who we partner with to share content

  • Event booking providers who issue tickets and passes our events

  • Venues which host our events and provide marketing related to our events

 

We may also receive and display information and content which you make publicly available on your social media account, such as when you post using one of our hashtags.

 

3. How we use personal data

 

We use your personal data to:

 

  • Provide you with information about London Gallery Weekend

  • Communicate with you about specific events or initiatives which may interest you

  • Provide you with information about one of our Partners or their events

 

4. Contact and interaction with you

 

If you sign up to our newsletter, complete a form on our website, attend London Gallery Weekend or one of our events, you are giving us permission to store data about you and interact with you to provide the information you requested. Contact can take place over the phone, email or through social media.

 

You can opt out at any time by either using an unsubscribe link or by replying to one of our emails with the word ‘DECLINE’.  We will action any opt out request from you with immediate effect.

We use your data to respond to your enquiries and provide you with information that we believe you would like to receive about our events (the lawful basis for this is “legitimate interest”).

 

Where our processing is based on the grounds of legitimate interests described above, those legitimate are:

  • To make sure you receive updated information on our activities and events

While we try to link only to websites that share our high standards and respect for privacy, we are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices employed by other websites and a link does not constitute an endorsement of that website.
