Martine Gutierrez: Passing04 June - 10 July 2021Josh Lilley is pleased to present Passing, the debut solo show in the UK for American artist Martine Gutierrez (b. 1989, Berkeley, CA). Gutierrez creates photographic self-portraiture of exquisite sheen and dancing textures, deceptively familiar images of glamour and fantasy that serve as a vessel — like the artist herself — for the discussion of gender, race, class and indigeneity.
