We begin our tour at Hales presenting a solo exhibition of new work by British painter Ally Fallon.
Then we move to Old Nichol Street and our next stop is at Kate MacGarry to see a solo show of Mark Corfield-Moore. Working at the intersection of painting and textile techniques, Corfield-Moore draws on his Thai and British heritage to explore themes of transience and cultural memory.
After a short walk down the street, we arrive at Ilenia, presenting new paintings by Swiss artist Emil Michael Klein.
Our next stop, just around the corner and up two flights of stairs, is SLQS. Here, Beverley Duckworth’s Seed Drawings, created through the act of sowing seeds in intricate patterns on hanging cloth panels, take over all senses.
We then head to Emalin: The Clerk’s House to see Hungry for Trash by American artist Kembra Pfahler. Set within the grounds of St Leonard’s Church, The Clerk’s House is a Grade II-listed building dating back to 1735.
Our last stop is just a few steps away, and takes us to Pi Artwork’s brand new gallery inside Perseverance Works’ courtyard. Here, artist Mehmet Ali Uysal inaugurates the space with sculptural and site-responsive works that transform the gallery into a skin that can be stretched, compressed, pierced, or displaced. -
