Lisson Gallery Bell St: Workshop + Talk + Pop Shop
Join Lisson Gallery for an in-conversation with artist and designer Marwan Kaabour and curator and writer Professor Omar Kholeif, moderated by Dr. O, in celebration of the one-year anniversary of The Queer Arab Glossary, the landmark publication exploring queer Arab language and identity.
The evening begins at 4pm with an interactive talk and quickfire Q&A in Lisson’s subterranean gallery space at 27 Bell Street, followed by a book signing.
At 5:30pm, the event moves into the courtyard for Dr. O’s Pop Shop: The Blue Sky Edition — a communal celebration featuring music, fashion, drinks, and a live lecture-performance by Dr. O. The performance expands on the idea of the Pop Shop as a curatorial archive, a form of mail art, and a democratic encounter with art, followed by a book signing.
