Corfield-Moore is interested in the poetic potential of language, particularly through the lens of cultural and intergenerational difference. Various phrases feature in each work, evoking fragmented communication and a sense of being in-between meaning and understanding. This linguistic disjunction is mirrored in his layered process, as hand-painted warp threads, disrupted motifs, and textual vignettes coalesce into visual fields that resist fixed interpretation.
Situated between textile and image, memory and materiality, his paintings make tangible questions of identity, translation, and diasporic inheritance.
