South London galleries have, for many years now, given a platform to diverse emerging artists and new voices - so for these artists and spaces to be celebrated alongside the established galleries in the center of town makes the weekend a true celebration of the thriving scene and community in London.
Sid Motion Gallery opened in June 2016 in a former betting shop in Kings Cross. In 2019 the gallery relocated to a larger exhibition space in South East London. The gallery brings a range of vibrant artists working within different media to the fore - often showcasing them for the first time and offering emerging artists exposure to an international audience. We organise an annual art trail to encourage the many artists and makers in the local area to meet and share ideas as well as hosting tours for collectors and patrons groups to visit the gallery and the nearby...

    Opening especially for the London Gallery Weekend, Sid Motion Gallery is pleased to present Bathers, a new installation by London-based artist Tom Lovelace. In this exhibition, the latest iteration of Lovelace's Living Pictures series, photography and performance collide, presenting an installation which seeks to disrupt the traditions of viewing and display. Performers will activate the installation. Timed performances will be hosted daily over the three days of tthe London Gallery Weekend.
