    Jean Dubuffet: Coucou Bazar

    07 June 2021
On 4 June, Pace London will present Fragments: Coucou Bazar, a rare capsule performance of two characters from Jean Dubuffet’s Coucou Bazar. This special programme will take place at 10am, 2pm and 6pm outside the entrance of Pace Gallery at 6 Burlington Gardens. Capacity will be limited. Coucou Bazar is the realization of Dubuffet’s long-term ambition of creating a living painting and marked the first time the artist brought his pioneering L’Hourloupe alphabet into three dimensions. Bringing the work directly to the street and out of the gallery space, this non-narrative piece is an opportunity for pedestrians to happen upon a street performance as though spontaneous.

    04 June - 03 July 2021
Pace Gallery, London, is honoured to present an exhibition by leading contemporary artist, JR. Opening on 4 June 2021, this will be the artist’s first exhibition at the London gallery, coinciding with a major survey, JR: Chronicles, at the Saatchi Gallery. The exhibition brings together photographs from several significant bodies of work, including Chronicles, The Wrinkles of the City, Migrants, and JR au Louvre. Through these powerful series, JR creates an environment to examine and explore his unique view of humanity as he transcends borders, politics, and cultural identity through the camera lens.
