This tour will take you around a handful of galleries flanked by Regent Street and the Royal Academy.
We begin on Heddon Street at Sprovieri, hidden from the hustle and bustle of central London, to see an exhibition by Gregor Schneider revolving around the artist’s on-going project Haus u r (1985–present) that has defined his practice since the 1980s.
Across the street, Brazilian artist Sophia Loeb evokes a sense of hope, transformation and empowerment through her paintings on show at Pippy Houldsworth Gallery.
We then make our way to Savile Row to see Luxembourg + Co.’s new exhibition, organised in collaboration with Sam Fogg, exploring the influence and relevance of stained-glass window making on modern art practices through the lens of Paul Klee and Brice Marden.
Next door at Pilar Corrias, Kat Lyons’ theatrical depictions of animals and vegetation combine eeriness and beauty, foregrounding nonhuman emotional lives, their contributions to humankind and our uneasy relationship with other species.
Flowers Gallery on Cork Street is our final stop. Here, the conceptual photography of British artist Lisa Jahovic captures subtle, absurd disruptions –small fractures in the ordinary that reveal tension, humour, and the poetic instability of everyday life.
Our tour ends on Cork Street, where many other exhibitions presented by LGW galleries can be discovered at your own pace.
Mayfair has a dense population of art galleries, and while our tour won't cover them all, we strongly encourage visitors to explore additional spaces in the neighbourhood using our map.
