David Flaugher, Born 1986, Detroit, USA. Lives and works in Detroit, Michigan. Flaugher’s art encourages contemplation of the cultural and emotional power of quotidian objects. Informed by the homes and studio spaces he has occupied, as well as his previous work at Detroit construction companies clearing out personal belongings and debris left in foreclosed homes, the artist considers the changing values and associations of discarded materials.
