Modern Figures brings together a group of artists who have redefined the human figure in British art across the last hundred years. Though distinct in sensibility, the artists will be united by a sustained engagement with the figure as a site of psychological, political and formal enquiry, each expanding and challenging traditional depictions of the human form.
