Founded in 2019, Ben Hunter mounts exhibitions of Modern and Contemporary artwork. The gallery represents Soojin Kang, Clementine Keith-Roach, Christopher Page and Nicole Coson. Alongside its primary program, the gallery is active on the secondary market, with a particular focus on 20th century British Art. Artworks handled by the gallery are selected based on their quality, beauty and historical importance. Prior to opening his eponymous gallery, Ben co-founded Hunter/Whitfield in 2015, staging exhibitions of new work by artists including Rebecca Ackroyd, Tunji Adeniyi-Jones and Victoria Adam.

Clementine Keith-Roach: Mythemes3 June - 15 July 2021In line with the launch of the inaugural London Gallery Weekend, Ben Hunter is pleased to announce Mythemes, Clementine Keith-Roach's second solo exhibition with the gallery at 44 Duke Street St James's, London. The exhibition will run from the 3 June - 15 July 2021. Mythemes is an exhibition of new sculptures and reliefs. Keith-Roach is known for her uncanny entanglements of body-casts with found terracotta urns, painted to appear continuous, which evoke ritual and myth. This new exhibition sees an expansion of her practice in which fragmentary bodies now bear the weight of her vessels, carrying them aloft like tender caryatids. Though encumbered by physical mass, the body-parts seem to caress their terracotta loads into the air with an impossible lightness. While in previous exhibitions, Keith-Roach has focused on hands and breasts, here we see full arms, legs and torsos extending her sculptural language into sphinx-like forms. These cryptic...
