Soup

Soup is a contemporary art gallery in Elephant & Castle, South London, co-founded by Hector Campbell and Betty Guereta in May 2023. Soup presents ambitious exhibitions of emerging and early-career artists, across both floors of its East Street gallery space.

Since opening, Soup has presented many artist’s debut solo exhibitions, including Alia Hamaoui, Divine Southgate-Smith, Jack Evans, Anna Clegg, Nina Silverberg, Mitch Vowles and Eleni Papazoglou. In December 2024, Soup presented Athen Kardashian & Nina Mhach Durban’s solo exhibition ‘04.) I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman⁣’ at The Shop, Sadie Coles HQ.

Soup and its publishing partner Foolscap Editions produce a research-based micro-publication for each exhibition, featuring commissioned curatorial texts from writers such as Róisín Tapponi, Elaine ML Tam, Gwyneth Tambe-Green, Natalia González Martín, Ted Targett, Georgia Stephenson, Oluwatobiloba Ajayi and Kimi Zarate-Smith.
