Bosse & Baum is a commercial gallery based in Peckham, London, seeking an active role in shaping art discourse by giving a platform to contemporary positions; representing an international roster of emerging artists whose work challenges dominant historical narratives and is socially engaged.
Bosse & Baum was founded in 2014 by Alexandra Warder and Lana Churchill. The gallery occupies a 700 sq. ft. unit in the post-industrial Bussey Building, in Peckham, South East London, and is expanding into online spaces.     Jade Montserrat : In Search of Our Mothers’ Gardens

    '…guided by my heritage of a love of beauty and a respect for strength, in search of my mother's garden, I found my own'. Alice Walker's in Search of Our Mothers' Gardens (1972) Jade Montserrat's first solo exhibition at Bosse & Baum, In Search of Our Mothers' Gardens, will include new works by the artist, spanning a period from 2014 to 2021. The exhibition takes its title from Alice Walker's text of the same name. Walker's text helps readers to locate Black women's bodies as those shaped and ravished by a legacy of an inhumanity and centres the idea of tending our gardens as a tenet of creativity towards healing.
